Preparing time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- ciabatta bread (sliced)
- 2 large handfuls strawberries
- bunch of fresh basil leaves (chopped)
- 4 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- ricotta cheese or other cream cheese you love
- sea salt and freshly ground pepper
- some pistachio nuts (chopped)
- Carefully slice your strawberries lengthwise.
- Make a marinade: in a bowl, mix together the balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, chopped basil leaves, sea salt and freshly ground pepper.
- Add the strawberries and marinate them for 10 minutes.
- Toast the bread slices on the grill pan for about 2 minutes per side. You can brush them with some extra virgin olive oil before grilling if you like.
